ABOUT GINA
For a Stronger, Safer, Millbrae

Millbrae City Councilmember Gina Papan brings decades of experience championing disaster preparedness, community health, public safety and quality of life services that protect children, families, local businesses, and economic vitality.
Gina has supported our local small businesses during these challenging times; helped bring new businesses to our City; instituted systems to help the environment and keep our local water supply safe and clean; installed more street lights and bike lanes; expanded programs for kids; developed policies to support water efficiency; and protected our Police, Fire, Disaster Preparedness, Emergency Health Response, 2-1-1 and 9-1-1 services.
If re-elected, Gina will continue to ensure our life-saving emergency, medical, 211 and 911 services are the top priority during these challenging times. She’ll continue to protect Millbrae’s character and diversity with responsible development –including housing that working families can afford. Gina will continue her advocacy for children, seniors, and all families, while fighting for Millbrae’s economic prosperity and fixing aging infrastructure, streets, and potholes.
A Deputy Attorney General for the State of California, Gina is a vocal champion for Millbrae’s local interests and regional efforts to improve public transportation and reduce traffic as a Metropolitan Transportation Commissioner - where she was recently appointed to serve on the Blue Ribbon Transit Recovery Task Force.
Born and raised in the Bay Area, and the proud granddaughter of working-class immigrants, Gina is a Director of John’s Closet, a community nonprofit that has assisted over 20,000 underprivileged children and their families with free clothing, other basic needs, and scholarships.
